What is Industry 4.0?
The first industrial revolution happened when the power of steam was put to work, driving mechanisation in factories.
The second industrial revolution was electricity driven, which enabled mass production and assembly lines.
The third industrial revolution was enabled by digital technologies such as electronics and IT systems.
The concept of the fourth industrial revolution is still evolving. It will expected that this would revolve around automation and data exchange and be built on technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), AI, cloud computing.
